Jeremy Teddy Karn was born in Monrovia, Liberia. He earned his MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he received fellowships to support his work.
He has taught Creative Writing at the University of Iowa and is currently a PhD student and an M.D. Anderson Fellow at the University of Houston, where he teaches First-Year College Writing.
His work has appeared in several magazines and journals, with additional pieces forthcoming. He is the co-founder of Pepper Coast Mag and currently serves as the Reviews and Interviews Editor at Gulf Coast.
