Miryam Magdalit [2021], a chapbook, was selected by Kwame Dawes and Chris Abani for the African Poetry Book Fund New-Generation African Poets: A Chapbook Box Set (Nane), which included works of thirteen African poets.
“Jeremy Karn is among a new generation of emerging Liberian poets, who, despite having inherited a devastated, postwar Liberia, are carving a literary landscape for themselves. They must create a new language to grapple with this inheritance, this ruin they did not cause. Karn is extremely talented, stretching language beyond itself. These poems remind us of the irreparable damage of war, and of the duty of poetry to tell that story.”
